The Open the Book group performed a beautiful dramatised version of the creation story for the whole school. Many thanks for helping to bring the story to life and for the beautiful books they donated to school.
Year 5 pupils joined students form all our East Area CAST schools to celebrate at the Big Sing! Each school took part in the mass and everyone enjoyed the singing!
Following the success of the School Art Exhibition a selection of the art went on display at Rollington Barn as part of Purbeck Arts Weeks. It looked amazing!
Pupils from Year 6 visited Swanage Day centre to help with their Summer Fair. They helped with stalls, chatted to the clients and even entertained everyone with some impromptu singing!
The school choir provided entertainment in the sunshine at Swanage Library on Thursday 21 May 2015 as part of the launch of the Swanage Dementia-Friendly Community. Representatives from a variety of community groups and members of the public came together to raise awareness and share information. There were refreshments, too!
Year 4 had a fun and interesting day at The Priest’s House in Wimborne, as part of their topic work on The Victorians.
A very full St Edward’s witnessed nine of our children making their first communion. The service was followed by refreshments in the Catholic Hall. Thank you to Father Tony and to all who helped make this such a joyous occasion.
Thank you to everyone who sponsored our children in the sponsored skip, or came along to watch as we filled the playground with whirring skipping ropes and clever tricks; also to all who contributed to the cake stall or bought cakes from it. When all the money is collected we will have raised well over £1000 for the school.
From the Holiday Club:
We will be open through the Summer Holidays and plan to open all day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The club will begin on Monday 20th July and run for six weeks, three days a week.
