Year 1 visited Corfe Castle for a packed day of train travel, castle exploring and rain. We enjoyed huddling into King John’s toilets, three of them, side-by-side, for chatting. We learned that the king got so fed up with being cold he invented the dressing-gown to keep himself warm. Also, girls did not wear knickers, apparently.
