As part of their topic work on World War II, year 5 recently visited The Tank Museum for some hands-on history.
All classes will be doing some road safety awareness work this week. Have a look at the advice for parents on the road safety charity Brake website.
Who would have bet against it? Our champion skipper took on Mr White for the ultimate skip-off…
and narrowly won by 312 to 305. That’s over 2.5 skips per second, pretty impressive by any standard.
Morning synchronised skipping with key stage 2!
We enjoyed (some staff might say suffered!) a brilliant day of skipping. All classes took part trying to beat their best in two minutes’ skipping. Well done to our champion skippers, and to our overall superstar skipper in year 5.
Every child now skips during the week – every afternoon for key stage 1 and twice each week for key stage 2 – trying to beat their best score. There is also lots of skipping practice at playtime.
