It has been another busy week at school. Well done to all the children chosen in Celebration Assembly.
Year 1 enjoyed a scavenger hunt and were able work out what season they were in. In music they have started learning the rap from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I’m sure some mums and dads will remember it!
Year 2 have been developing their grammar and learning to respect the rules of grammar. They’ve been learning about nouns and will be moving on to expanded noun phrases. In maths they’ve been counting in 10’s and 1’s.
Year 3 had an interesting History lesson looking at stone age life and looking at farmers. In DT they started designing a soft toy for a stone age toddler and they will be beginning to make these next week.
Year 4 have been continuing to read our class text and have started making an information leaflet on the Roman Baths. They’ve been learning about circuits in science and what makes a complete or incomplete circuit.
Year 5 have been taking part in discussions and working on explaining their answers. They have started reading a new class text and first impressions suggest they will really enjoy this book. In Maths they’ve been looking at mixed operations and negative numbers.
Year 6 completed an investigation into light and how it works. In art they have started a project on cartoons and will using these to cartoons to tell stories.
