More than 90 children came in to school on Tuesday evening, 17 November, for bedtime stories in their classrooms. They were read to by Mr White, Mrs Gadston and Mr Wollen, while their parents heard a talk from Mrs Meteau on reading, as well as attending the book fair in the hall. Thank you to members of the Friends of St Mary’s for making the hot chocolate.

Buddy Time?
Friday afternoon is buddy time!
Everyone gets the chance to share books or their writing with their buddy. We all help each other learn and find out what children in other year groups have been writing about.
Year 5 helped year 2 evaluate the non fiction books about penguins they had written. They were very interesting!
A big thank you to the PTA and helpers, and to Mrs Meteau, Mrs Gadston, Mrs Harwood and Mr Wollen for a super half-hour of bedtime stories. More than seventy children braved the grizzly weather and enjoyed fairy-light-lit classrooms, stories and hot chocolate.
