Year 5 and 6 designed and made sandals for children in Africa. They then evaluated the design and tried to persuade the Dragons to invest in their product. The Dragons struck some hard bargains!
We celebrated Advent Mass at St Edwards and in our school hall.
Reception and Preschool shared a brilliant day of daring rescues, complicated investigations, medical breakthroughs and parcel delivery!
Thank you very much to Open the Book for coming in to school today to show and tell us the story of Jesus and the children.
Thanks to Bea from CAFOD who visited us again this term. She told us about how special wiggly worms are transforming life for poor farmers in Bolivia.
It was lovely to welcome Brother John to our school once again. We held a celebration assembly and Brother John visited each class during the course of his week with us. The children are fascinated to hear about the life of his school in Uganda, and the lives of the children there. We fundraise all year round to help and it is rewarding for us all to see and hear about the changes Brother John has been able to make at Dr Archbishop Kiwanuka School & Nakirebe Primary School.
We celebrated Mass this morning to say goodbye to our year 6 leavers, and to Father Ralph who is leaving Swanage. It was super to see so many friends and family. Year 6 children chose the hymns, wrote the prayers and gave the readings.
Here is Olivia’s writing about it:
